Newhouse Farm is a 600 acre mixed, family-run farm, based in Cambridge, producing organic beef and lamb as well as organic cereals for the wholesale market.

Our calves and lambs are suckled on their mothers throughout the summer months on extensive grazing, much of which is on the salt marshes of the Wildfowl and Wetlands reserve at Slimbridge.

The animals are kept at very low stocking rates, which means there are few disease problems and each animal has plenty of space in which to roam. The lambs are all fattened on organic grass through the summer and autumn months, having received no extra feeding whatsoever. This is the traditional method of rearing lambs- bom in the spring, finished on grass in summer. Salt marsh lamb has a very unique taste and flavour- once tasted, never forgotten.

Beef calves are overwintered on silage, hay and organic oats- all produced on the farm. They are then fattened on grass in the summer which again is the traditional method.

We have previously sold to the trade but now feel that we would like to sell direct to the public. We are mainly concentrating on lamb sales however boxes of beef can be ordered by special arrangement - please don't hesitate to contact us for details
